Connect
Log in to MT5
Once your connection key is in, the Connector just needs your MetaTrader 5 login. Three fields, and you’re trading.
01Enter your MT5 details
On the MetaTrader 5 step, fill in:

| Server | string | required | Your broker's server name, exactly as it appears in MT5. e.g. ICMarkets-Demo02. |
| Password | password | required | Your MT5 account password. It's stored encrypted on your own machine and never shared in plain text. |

Can’t remember your server name? Open MetaTrader 5 and look at the bottom-right of the window, or check the welcome email from your broker. The Connector finds your MT5 installation for you. No file paths to hunt down.
02Go live

Click Connect
The Connector logs in to MetaTrader 5 and links it to your workspace. If MT5 isn’t already open, it starts it for you. - 2
Watch it turn green
Within a few seconds you’ll see connected in the Connector and in your dashboard. - 3
Your account appears on its own
No need to type your account in anywhere. Bullion picks it up automatically and your balance and open trades fill in. See your accounts →
If it doesn’t connect
Almost always it’s the login, server, or password. Double-check each one against your broker’s details (a single wrong character is enough), then try again. The Connector shows a clear message if MT5 rejects the login.

Your credentials stay with you. Your MT5 password is encrypted and kept on your own machine. Bullion never stores it in plain text.
